Best Morning and Night Skincare Routine

Adapting a healthy skincare routine regimen is an important step to having clean radiant skin.

The skincare routine has two steps:

a) Morning skincare routine

b) Night skincare routine

The morning skincare routine differs a bit from a nighttime skincare routine because obviously, your skin is going to be exposed to the sun, bacteria, and the outside environment that’s why your skin needs to be ready and well protected.

The following steps are my ideal guide to applying your morning skincare routine. It’s a full simple and important skincare routine you can add in other steps according to your skin type.

1. Cleanser

  • The first thing you do in the morning is to clean your face skin from the products and the oils produced at night on the surface of the skin with a cleanser.
  • Choose a friendly cleanser that suits your skin type.
  • Moisten your face and apply your cleanser. Rub gently working in circles for about 30 seconds. Wash with water and let your face dry without using a towel.

2. Toner

Apply toner after a cleanser and before a moisturizer or hydrating cream to keep your skin soft and treat hyperpigmentation.

3. Eye cream

Now that the skin is prepared and clean, apply an eye cream or gel to soothe puffy eyes and dark circles.

Eye cream or gel is also important to reduce signs of ageing under the eyes and fine lines.

4. Serum

The next step in our skincare routine is to apply face serum that contains one of the following ingredients: hyaluronic, retinol, vitamin C, Alpha, and Beta hydroxy acids that penetrate the skin to nourish and boosts collagen.

5. Moisturizer

Your skin needs to be hydrated or moisturized whether you have acne skin, oily, or dry to keep it soft, smooth, and glowy.

6. Sunscreen

All dermatologists agree on this step “sunscreen” because it’s the most important thing that you should apply to your skin before you leave to protect your skin from UV rays damage.

Sunscreen is a must-have product that all women should have in their bags. It also protects your skin from burnings, cancer risk, and hyperpigmentation and prevents dark spots.

Night skincare routine

1. Makeup remover

Makeup remover should be part of your daily night skincare routine because it cleanses all makeup, impurities, and dirt from your face.

Removing your makeup with micellar water is also beneficial to let your skin breathe and prevent dead skin. You can use oils to remove your makeup residues and clean your face instead of micellar water.

2. Cleanser

The second step after removing makeup is to cleanse your face to get rid of oils and dirt to prepare the skin to renew and restore itself at night and help absorb all the benefits of serum and moisturizer.

3. Treatment

Now that your skin is clean and ready apply your skin treatments if you have acne, hyperpigmentation, or dark spots to heal your skin.

4. Eye cream

Eye cream is important at night too to treat the delicate area under the skin after a long exhausting day. An eye cream can include retinol, aloe vera, vitamin C, and vitamin E.

5. Serum

Serums can contain active ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, and antioxidants that penetrate into your skin to keep it hydrated and fight signs of ageing.

6. Moisturizer

Using a moisturizer at night is going to soothe your skin and boost collagen production. Choose a cream that contains hyaluronic acid or retinol to improve skin tone and firmness.

These steps are the main skincare routine for healthy skin you can add other things depending on your skin type. Try to give some minutes to let the product penetrate into your skin especially the skin treatment, serum, and moisturizer. Don’t apply all the products at the same time.
