My Homemade French Bread

Homemade French bread

I ‘am happy to make a French homemade bread at home. A simple recipe of bread and a perfect dough that can be used in bread and hamburger as well.

Homemade French bread


  • One cup of milk
  • one egg
  • one teaspoon of sugar
  • Two teaspoons of salt 
  • one tablespoon of yeast
  • 10 grams of baking powder ( 1 package)
  • 1/2 of oil 
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • flour
  • black sesame seed


This recipe will make 8 small loaves.

In a large mixing bowl, add milk, sugar,  oil, salt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil,1 tablespoon of yeast.

Let the mixture for 5 minutes.Then add 1 cup of flour and the 10 grams of baking powder .

Add gradually flour until you obtain a  soft dough.Once you finish place the dough into greased bowl and cover it with a paper film.

Let your dough rise to the top, punch it down and let it rise again, and punch it down another time.

Once the dough is ready put the dough into floured surface form a long baguette and cut into 2 pieces each piece into 4 small sections, you will obtain 8 small sections.

French bread

  1. Preheat oven to 200° C.
  2. Cover the loaves with plastic wrap and let rise again for 15 minutes.
  3. After 15 minutes ,remove the plastic wrap and brush each loaf with yolk egg and spread black seeds on all over the loaves.
  4. with a sharp knife cut deep slashes across the top of each loaf.

5.Bake the loaves until it becomes golden brown.Let aside to cool.

you can stuff your bread with olive or cheese.
